The Cabin

These pictures are of the Family and Ben while we were up at the cabin. This trip was different from all the rest because we had no running water. Dad was kind enough to go an fill up the water jug from the spring so we had water to drink, and for all other uses we had to melt the snow ourselves. the first night I filled up half a tub full of water for the toilet, only to wake up the next morning and discover that it had slowly all drained out. But we were able to make it through the four days without much trouble.

There's dad cooking up some mighty tasty Hamburgers. They were great. and if you look closely you can see all the pans used for melting our snow.

Lizzy and Kristin are making some of the best corn bread muffins in the world. Sadly there weren't enough for everybody to have two.

Miriam and Ben take a small break from the ski trip and smile.

Here we are at Big Springs. Dad doesn't like all the snowmobiles and Miriam looks like she just had some bad apple.

Here lizzy was crossing the bridge and she had a 50-50 chance of which side to try and go up. Sadly she picked the wrong won and got a little wet.

Here's dad filling up his water bottle because the water in the cabin didn't work. just think...me not showering for 4 days...ouch.

The next few pictures were taken while we were skiing into the cabin. On the way in it took me 52 minuets, and on the way out I did it in under 45 a new personal record.

I'm proud to be the first to comment on your blog! Awesome pictures. I especially like the cabin landscapes. Do you have your own nice camera? Well I hope you have a great second semester at BYU!
